Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary student for an externship at our mixed animal practice, with a primary focus on small animal and equine medicine, along with some small ruminant work.  This externship offers hands-on experience in a supportive, real-world clinical setting where learning is encouraged and mentorship is a priority. 

What you'll experience:

• Small animal appointments, diagnostics, surgery, and client communication
• Equine wellness, lameness, and field work
• Exposure to cattle and small ruminant care and farm calls
• Opportunities to observe and assist with:
  • Physical Exams
  • Diagnostics and treatment planning
  • Surgical and medical cases
  • Client education and case discussions 

What we're looking for:

• Current veterinary students in good academic standing
• Strong interest in mixed animal practice
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and be part of the team
• Professional, reliable, and positive attitude
