What your week looks like
| Day | Hospital hours | Your schedule |
| Monday–Friday | 7:30 am – 6:00 pm | Weekday shifts |
| Saturday–Sunday | Closed | Shared boarding checks |
| After hours | VetTriage 24/7 support | No overnight shifts |
| • | Weekends off, with light boarding coverage. The hospital is closed Saturdays and Sundays. Doctors share light weekend coverage and limited on-call for boarded patients only, and there are no overnight shifts. |
| • | Less charting, more medicine. An AI scribe drafts your medical records from the appointment, so you finish your notes at work, not at home. |
| • | Same-day sick visits. A limited number of same-day and drop-off appointments keep the caseload varied: GI upsets, toxin and foreign-body ingestion, bite wounds, ears, eyes and lameness. |
| • | After hours is covered. VetTriage handles 24/7 support when we're closed, and emergencies go to nearby emergency hospitals. |
| • | A team that shows up for each other. Team-building activities, an annual field day, spirit week, milestone celebrations, and a compassionate care budget to give back to pets in need. |
The medicine you'll practice
| • | A path into chiropractic care. Dr. Rodriguez has been certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association since 2012 and incorporates chiropractic into her treatment plans. Associates interested in adding it to their skill set can learn alongside her. |
| • | Diagnostics in-house. A full in-house lab (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, GI and tick-borne panels), digital radiography shared with board-certified radiologists, and abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography. |
| • | Dentistry and soft-tissue surgery. A dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiography, plus spays, neuters, mass removals and oral surgery, with heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen monitored throughout. If surgery interests you, there's room to keep building your skills here. |
| • | Prevention first, and gentle, whole-patient care. Preventive wellness at the core, low-stress handling for anxious and senior pets, therapeutic laser, and end-of-life care that includes hospice. |
Who you'll work with
| • | Dr. Deanna Rodriguez, Medical Director. A Cornell veterinary graduate, class of 2009, Dr. Rodriguez leads the hospital today. She has been certified in animal chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association since 2012, a skill she brings to her own patients, and her everyday focus is preventive care and client education. She also volunteers with a local animal shelter. |
| • | Dr. Camryn Lawton. Her path to veterinary medicine started at Manlius, where she worked in high school as a kennel attendant and then a veterinary assistant. After a biotechnology degree from SUNY's College of Environmental Science and Forestry, she earned her DVM at Ross University, completed her clinical year at the University of Florida, and came back to practice here. |
| • | Doctors who collaborate. Our team says the doctors like to talk cases through with each other, and there's a real willingness to learn and help others. |
| • | A 10-person support team, led by Practice Manager Brittany, with us since 2013, and including two licensed veterinary technicians. |
