Company Overview

Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services is a community of independent and privately owned clinics working together to help animals and their people. Our mission statement is to increase access to veterinary care for all animals in our local community through a spectrum of care approach and non-profit partnerships. We are built on the belief that every animal deserves access to care.
All our clinics share the same core values and operate through a unique three-tiered approach to animal health care.

Our divisions:

1. Traditional vet care - includes all standard GP services (ie - spay/neuter, wellness and medical exams, dentistry). Our original location (Parksville) is also expanding to provide 24/7 urgent care and emergency services

2. Rescue Division - this department performs High-Quality High-Volume spay neuter services and shelter medicine for over 20 local non-profit animal rescues and welfare organizations

3. Pawsitive Care - these programs are meant for pet owners experiencing financial difficulty. It includes subsidized wellness care, spay/neuter services, and generalized discounts on all products.

Company History

The original Fantastic Beasts Vet location started in 2023.
Since then, we have added 2 new clinic locations and are starting a 24hr expansion project.

A few statistics from our original location from 2023-2025:
2,642 Spay and neuter surgeries performed in our Rescue Division for over 20 non-profit animal welfare partners across Vancouver Island
808 Subsidized wellness exams completed for low-income families including vaccines, parasite control, and microchipping
478 Low-cost sterilization surgeries provided through our Pawsitive Care program preventing health issues and over-population
